Signs of Weak Immune System | Common Symptoms & Natural Health Tips

Everyone wants good health, no one likes to be sick. The problem arises when we often think about the immune system in the wrong way. We think of it like a muscle that we can strengthen by feeding it lots of antioxidants and supplements. But that’s just not how the immune system works. While the immune system can be suppressed and can be less effective.

Our immune system is what protects us from the bacteria, viruses, fungi and toxins we encounter on a constant basis. It also plays an integral part in wound healing. It’s an elegant network of cells, tissues and organs, all working together.

One of the most common manifestations of weak  immunity is frequent infections.  These weak Immune response can be caused by various virus, bacteria, pathogens, and other foreign bodies. To fight these infections our body must be prepared enough to fight against such infections and keep our body safe from the diseases or infections. Most of the Infections can be caused by attack of the various pathogens, and due to our weak Immune response against it. So we must include immunity boosters in our diet, in order to keep our body free from infections.

Another important sign of our weak Immune System is abdominal troubles. Abdominal pains, constipations, weak bowel movements, inflammation in GIT, these all are linked somehow with the weak Immune response, which causes irregular peristaltic movements, and irregular anomalies in our GI Tract.

Next important sign of weak Immune System is Persistent fatigue. Persistent weakness or fatigue in the body for long time probably due to weak Immune System. Our body might be fighting against some infections or diseases that may cause prolonged weakness. Due to lactic acid accumulation in the muscle, our muscles feel sore and lame. This lameness of our muscles can be manifested as weakness or fatigue of muscles. Adequate sleep ensures muscle relaxation but reverse may happen if one is not sleeping properly. This may also happen due to the deficiency of certain nutrients and vitamins.

Due to certain imbalance in our body due to weak Immune response there might be possibility of persistent High stress level in the body. These stress factors not only disturb our daily metabolism but also distract us from our goals. Due to high stress conditions in our body, our body always seems in a state of instability.

Another sign is cold sore outbreaks. Some people deal with cold sores, there’s no cure for them, they come and go, and when you get run down, a cold sore is likely to pop up if this is something that you deal with. Cold sores are due to an infection with a herpes virus, most often herpes simplex virus one. And what happens is you get an infection with this virus and then it goes to sleep within the cells of your nervous system, and it stays asleep there because your immune system keeps it quiet. But when you get run down, that little virus can wake back up because you don’t have as good a control thanks to your immune system being a little run down, and you can get a cold sore.

Cold sores often present as grouped blisters on the lips, around the mouth, and first they start out as just maybe a little red patch. You get these strange tingling sensations, kind of a sharpness, they can be painful, burn, they develop into blisters and then crust over. When you have a cold sore outbreak, it is infectious. You can transmit the cold sore virus to someone else by kissing or sharing items like cups, straws, lipsticks, toothbrushes, so be aware of that. This cold sore is also an important manifestation of weak Immune response.

Another manifestation which can be due to weak immunity is canker sores, otherwise known as minor aphthous ulcers. Now these happen in the mouth, on the soft tissues of the mouth, as well as the base of the gums. They’re round, small, shallow ulcers that are yellowish to white, and the surrounding rim is red. They can be painful, but sometimes you don’t even notice them. They often burn or sting though if you eat spicy food, anything that’s acidic. Getting run down and having a weakened immune system is not the only trigger for minor aphthous ulcers, otherwise known as canker sores. They can also be triggered by hormones, irritating things in the mouth, injury to the mouth, nutrient deficiencies, which just kind of goes hand-in-hand with getting run down. Minor aphthous ulcers, they can be a clue to you that you’re getting a little run down. Sometimes healthy people often deal with minor aphthous ulcers, the small ones that last a few weeks and then go away with no scarring, and getting run down is a trigger for minor aphthous ulcers to pop up.

Next is shingles. Anyways, the virus that causes chickenpox goes to sleep in your body, and your immune system keeps it asleep. But when you get really run down, it can wake back up again, and when it does, it causes the rash known as shingles. Same virus, different rash. Shingles happens in a section on one half of your body. It can involve a section of your chest, it can involve your scalp and upper face or segments of your face. And it starts out as strange little sharp tingling sensations and then you develop a grouping of blisters in what’s referred to as a dermatomal distribution because it’s waking back up along a nerve. This shingles also arises due to weak Immune response.

Another sign of weak Immune response is Slow or poor healing wounds. As soon

as we get injured or have wounds due to some trauma, after sometime our wound starts healing, but sometimes due to weak Immune System, these wound healing probably takes time longer than expected, and causes delayed healing. This delayed healing of the wound, may cause certain infections over the wounded area, and leads to further infection. Whether that be cuts, scrapes, maybe you get a little burn from like the stove, slow healing in the setting of a weakened immune system. Your immune system is key for healing, to come in and clear out the dead tissue, bring in the new healthy cells. All that requires the orchestration of your immune system, and when it’s weak and kind of slow, you’re going to have delayed healing.

Above discussed symptoms are some important manifestations which one can correlate if the above symptoms are prevailing from a long time and try to boost the immunity in a natural way. One can also consult with a physician if the above symptoms are getting much worse. Boost your immunity, stay healthy, stay free from diseases.
